Chotto-matte is a name suggest by an old samurai movie. The blade is forged high carbon steel 15.75" to the tsuba and 21.5" overall. The blade has been selectively hardened and polished to display a very active hamon. The habaki is carved copper with gold plated seppa and pierced iron tsuba. The fittings on the handle are textured copper. The handle is wenge wood with an over wrap. The tang is signed DFogg April 2006 and the tsuba displays the 24k gold cherry blossom logo. This piece is in the fashion of a remounted naginata-naoshi-zukuri and functions as a short sword. It comes with display stand.
